The number of the individual entrepreneurs in Ukraine has exceeded pre-war indicators

This was announced by the Ministry of Economy, noting that such indicators are a sign of the recovery of Ukrainian business.

According to the Ministry, approximately 2 million individual entrepreneurs are currently registered in Ukraine. This is almost 36 thousand more than before the war, in January 2022.

The Ministry of Economy also noted that in the first half of the year, the general fund of the state budget received 787 billion hryvnias in business taxes, which is more than 70% of all revenues.

Although the increase in the number of entrepreneurs is good news, the dynamics could be even more positive if the level of economic freedom in Ukraine increased. After all, let us remind you, entrepreneurs continue to complain about the abuse of tax officials, the blocking of tax invoices, procedural abuses and the inaction of the National Police and prosecutor’s offices (data: Council of the Business Ombudsman).
