The Ministry of Economy intends to complete the privatization of state-owned companies by 2023 and leave only 150-200 enterprises in state ownership.
As of 2019, there were more than 3,000 state-owned enterprises in Ukraine. 70% of them did not bring any profit to the state. Last year, the combined losses of all state-owned companies amounted to UAH 51 billion.
Due to privatization, taxpayers will no longer fund inefficient public administration. On the contrary, privatization will make it possible to overcome corruption, attract investments and fill the state budget.
