State intervention in the market delays victory

Recently, the State Audit Service of Ukraine conducted an audit of the contracts of the Ministry of Defense and announced that it had discovered violations amounting to 2.5 billion hryvnias. The violation turned out to be the profit that entrepreneurs invested in contracts with the state. According to the State Audit Office, Ukrainian entrepreneurs should work for nothing.
 
The reason for this conclusion was an imperfect government regulation, which effectively forbade businesses involved in government contracts, in particular, for the army, to have a profit.
 
Such a decision is a threat to the national security of Ukraine, because it hinders the development of the domestic military industry. Without profits, businesses cannot scale production and innovate.
 
At the same time, there are no restrictions on the profit of foreign companies.
