Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine made decision about the state budget: what will we live for in 2023?

State budget 2023: income and expenditure, inflation, exchange rate and other main indicators.

Today the Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget for 2023 in the second reading and as a whole. We tell you about the key indicators of the budget:

 

  • Revenues are foreseen in the amount of 1 trillion 329.3 billion UAH. Expenditures — 2 trillion 580.7 billion UAH. The marginal volume of the deficit is 1 trillion 296.5 billion UAH. It will be covered by borrowings.
  • A record 1 trillion 141 billion hryvnias have been earmarked for security and defense, which is 50% of all budget expenditures. For social programs and pensions — 447.4 billion UAH, financing of medicine — 176.1 billion UAH, education — 156 billion UAH.
  • Consumer price growth in 2023 is expected at 28.0%, after inflation of 29.3% in 2022.
  • It is expected that the Ukrainian hryvnia will lose approximately 2/3 of its value in two years.
  • The dollar exchange rate in the 2023 budget is set at 42.2 hryvnias. According to the forecast, by the end of 2023, the exchange rate will increase to UAH 45.8.
  • The living wage is set at 2,589 hryvnias, the minimum wage is 6,700 hryvnias.
  • GDP to grow 3.2% after falling 32.0% in 2022.
