Privatization is a panacea for economic problems

Since September 2022, the State Property Fund has held more than 270 privatization auctions. More than 80 of them were held in 2023, they attracted UAH 1 billion.

In addition to paying for the assets, the new owners will also burn at least UAH 322 million of debts of unprofitable enterprises, in particular to employees.

Thanks to privatization, the state solves several problems at once: it receives money to provide for the Armed Forces, finds an effective owner who will be able to restore the operation of a loss-making state enterprise, and also solves the problem of debts to the budget and employees.
