“Much better than it was during Yanukovych’s time, but much worse than before the war”: business complains about increased pressure from the authorities

Government pressure on business is increasing.

The co-owners of Rozetka and Nova poshta stated that the attitude of the authorities towards business, after the positive dynamics at the beginning of the war, began to deteriorate again and was accompanied by increased pressure.

In particular, the co-owner of Rozetka, Vladyslav Chechotkin, noted that regular inspections have already become a routine for the company.

“They don’t find anything with us and fine us for an amount for which, in their opinion, we will not argue. That is, these are some minimum amounts of fines. But they interfere. But they check. But they often stop work and so on,” he commented.

Volodymyr Popereshniuk, the co-owner of Nova Poshta, in turn, said that the government is once again treating entrepreneurs “like geese and sheep that can be sheared and plucked.”

It is interesting that such statements of big business sound against the background of numerous promises from different levels of government to resolve problematic issues arising between business and state bodies. As we can see, at least part of the business does not feel positive changes yet.
