MONUMENT TO REAGAN
IN KYIV
Українське товариство економічних свобод було засновано у 2015 році за підтримки публічних діячів, економістів та бізнесменів задля просування та відстоювання ідей економічної свободи в Україні.
The Institute for Economic Leadership has initiated the installation of a monument to the 40th US President Ronald Reagan in Kyiv, honoring his contribution to the victory of the democratic world in the Cold War.
It was Ronald Reagan who made every effort to shape the ideology of tax cuts, protect private property rights, the importance of political and economic competition, and various freedoms around the world. The internal policy of his cabinet was an example of overcoming the economic crisis precisely by liberalizing and reducing state regulatory intervention in the real sector of the economy.
In addition, it would be a step of politeness to install a 7-meter monument to Taras Shevchenko in Washington, USA.
The Reagan monument in Kyiv as a whole will strengthen friendly ties between the cranes and fairly thank the United States for supporting the aspirations of Ukrainians to freedom.
The idea of installing a monument to Reagan is a purely private initiative of Concerned Citizens. In our opinion, the installation site should be a vacant pedestal of former Communist Party leaders.
