How can the government make business life easier in wartime?

In order for the economy to work: what steps the government is waiting for business. The European Business Association has prepared proposals.

Institute for Economy Leadership

The European Business Association has prepared proposals on how the state can support and help businesses work in conditions of full-scale war.

Among them are those that the business community has been insisting on for years:

  • ensure a predictable tax and financial policy during martial law;
  • support constructive interaction between the authorities and business, so that companies are informed about the plans of the authorities and can react early;
  • develop the border infrastructure and introduce an electronic queue for car carriers;
  • sign an agreement on “industrial visa-free with the EU and its expansion to new sectors, as well as continue deregulation;
  • adopt laws on updating the labor code, as well as develop and implement pension reform;
  • simplify the reporting system for payment transactions.

You can read more about business proposals in the EBA study “200 days of war – results from business” at link.
