Drones and thermal imagers plan to exempt from VAT and customs duties

 

Finally, for 12 months of full-scale war, the authorities plan to exempt drones and a number of other goods necessary for soldiers from VAT and customs duties. The relevant bills were supported by the Tax Committee of the VRU.

 

In particular, to exempt from VAT and customs duties for the period of martial law in Ukraine, but no later than January 1, 2024, propose:
 

  • unmanned aerial vehicles
  • optical and collimator sights (collimators)
  • night vision scopes or thermal imaging scopes
  • thermal imaging binoculars and monoculars
  • night vision devices imported into the customs territory of Ukraine by enterprises or citizens, including those moved (forwarded) to the customs territory of Ukraine in international postal and express shipments.

 
The process has just begun, ahead is a vote in the Verkhovna Rada.
