Anti-corruption tax reform: research

What tax changes do businesses expect: research

Institute for Economic Leadership

At the request of our organization, the Info Sapiens agency conducted a survey of 500 business owners and managers about their expectations regarding the tax reform. We share the key conclusions:

  • Only 21% of respondents are satisfied with the current tax system. On the other hand, 73% noted that the system does not suit them or rather does not suit them.
  • More than half of the respondents assessed simplification of administration (60%) and detinization (58%) as critically necessary aspects of tax reform.
  • Regarding taxation, business expects that as a result of the tax reform, value added and profit taxes will be reduced to 10%, and payroll taxes will be reduced to at least 20%.
  • Business representatives also noted that it is the current high tax rates that force enterprises to resort to all kinds of optimization schemes.

We will soon publish the detailed results of the survey on our website.
